At Ferny Grove State School we elect school captains from our Year 6 cohort each year. Students go through a process of application and speech writing, and are ultimately elected by their peers and school staff. School captains represent the student body on Student Council, lead assemblies and special occasions, attend out of school functions and develop leadership skills through a range of tailored programs.
